You know I love metal and minimalism, and that I'm a diehard feminist. But above all else, I'm an artist, and I've have a lifelong love affair with art history.
The way women, in particular, are depicted in art tells you everything about the world at the time: Who was valued, who was controlled, who was idealized, who was erased. Economic and political signals disguised as aesthetics.
Because art has never just been decorative.
The Private Collection is my way of engaging with that history, pulling from public-domain archives and layering meaning in a new way.
The first release includes four studies, spanning eight pieces. Most designs are limited to just 100 each, hand-pressed and individually numbered in my studio.
Because of the limited quantities, this collection will sell out quickly, so if something speaks to you, don't wait.
This isn’t a departure from Double Kick, it's merely a deeper layer of it.
